There are so many great things happening at Minnie Cannon. A highlight for every student at Minnie Cannon is when it is their day to have the High School students work with them on physical fitness, team building, learning new sport games. They are always smiling and having a great time!

We had a fun “let’s get pumped up” for state testing assembly yesterday for 3rd-6th grade. There was music, talk of the importance of students doing their best, motivation to earn tickets during testing for working hard, being on time to school and students got to see the prizes they could earn with the tickets. We also had three contests: a hula hoop contests with two teachers and two students. We had a math snowball fight with 6 students and at the end of the snowball fight they had to solve the problem on the snowball closest to them. We had all five teachers chose a student and played a fun game I call snap, clad, head, shoulders and eventually plate. At the end of the game a student had won! At the end of the assembly certificates and medals were given to students that met or exceeded the standard in math and/ or language arts last year. Students also received a certificate and medal for increasing their score by 50 point in math/ and or language arts. The energy was great and it was a lot of fun! We are ready for the state testing and we want students to show up and do their best. MC students rock so they will rock the test also!!
